guess who went away to bali and came back engaged!

and tom even asked my parents first if it was ok!

he was apparently going to wait until we got to ubud, but after being in bali for only about 3 hours and during a stroll on the beach at kuta, he got down on one knee and popped the question. he couldnt keep it in for another 3 days!

we went shopping for a ring once we got back to japan as he wanted to make sure i was happy with it. we looked in bali too but there were no good ones. but this one is gorgeous!



There are so many people to tell and i havent had a chance to tell hardley anyone yet! But kate has written about it in her blog before i even did!

we waited till we got back to japan to tell mum and dad, even though they knew already. they had apparently been waiting by the phone on thursday, the day tom was going to do it, so they were getting jittery that we hadnt called.

actually we met up with jill, ron and ann in bali too but we couldnt tell them until i had called mum and dad... i bet they are annoyed cause both of them kept joking about how funny it would be for us to come back engaged :)

at the moment we are thinking that we wont get married until after we come back to melbourne for good, so that could be over a year away. but nothing is definate yet, just the fact that we are really happy.

it was pretty unexpected that he would propose in bali, but i have always known that i would be with tom for the rest of my life :)

so much to tell, but i promise i will write more soon. sorry if you find out about this via blogger, i want to talk to everyone indiidually but its hard from japan! hope to see you all soon.
