australia, japan and the soccer

japan is making a huge deal about the soccer. especially about how they will play australia and apparently kick our arses.

this morning on the tv they were disecting the game played the other day between greece and australia in melbourne.

they had sent hordes of journalists the cover it. apparently channel 7 back in australia refered to them as "japanese spies" because there was so many of them.

they were even interviewing aussies in the streets and asking them about our chances. i was hoping to see someone i knew cause it would have been funny on japanese TV, but no it was only a group of purple clad boys from wesley and a few daggy people.

i am not much into soccer, but i hope that australia can beat japan. but then again, i dont know what kind of reaction would be waiting for me then the next day at work after that match on june 12 ....
